I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I remain deeply connected to the Great Lakes region. After completing high school, I moved on to graduate from the Painting Department of the Kansas City Art Institute and later obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following my time in college, I spent several enriching years back in Wisconsin, where I further honed my artistic skills before making the significant move to Los Angeles, California. There, I had the unique opportunity to reside at the Santa Fe Artist Colony while also co-founding FakeSpace LA, an alternative Art Gallery. It was during this time that I was able to truly focus on curating exhibitions alongside creating my own artistic work. In 2010, I decided to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri, where I continue to grow and evolve in my dual roles as an Artist and Educator, contributing to the local arts community.
